Environmental Policy

Senior Management, the Board of Directors, and the employees of Mitel are committed to protecting the environment as part of operations and in the development, testing, distribution, repair and ultimate disposal of its products and to continual improvements in environmental performance.

We will ensure full compliance with the requirements of this policy as follows:

• Comply with all legal and regulatory environmental requirements applicable to our operations and act openly with government officials to ensure full compliance with such requirements.
• Strive to develop, and market products that are safe in their intended use, energy efficient, protective of the environment, and can be reused, recycled and/or disposed of safely.
• Use product development processes that seek to minimize any adverse effects on the environment.
• Store, handle and dispose of all potentially hazardous substances and wastes in a safe and proper manner.
• Strive to eliminate or reduce hazardous or nuisance releases, if any, to the air, water or land, waste discharges, and the use of hazardous materials.
• Encourage reduction, reuse and recycling in all of our activities.
• Encourage responsible use of resources throughout our business, including conserving energy and water use and improving energy efficiency.
• Establish plans and implement related training of our employees to prevent environmental incidents and handle emergencies, or in the event that such incidents cannot be prevented, take all reasonable measures to prevent or remedy damage or injury which may result to the natural environment or public.

This policy forms the basis of a documented environmental management system. It is endorsed by the Board of Directors and Senior Management of Mitel and will be communicated to all employees and made available to the public and other interested parties upon request.
