Ron Wellard is responsible for the Mitel® Communications Solutions (MCS) business unit. MCS is tasked with driving the profitable growth of Mitel’s core product and services portfolio. Ron’s responsibilities encompass Research and Development, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Technical Support and Service.

Ron Wellard brings over 30 years of experience in the Telecommunications industry spanning various roles in Product Line Management and R&D Leadership. Since joining Mitel in 2003, Ron has led Mitel’s product development and operations team to develop, implement, and deliver cutting-edge IP Telephony products and applications to the marketplace.

Prior to joining Mitel, Ron was a key contributor at Nortel Networks, with much of his career focused on the leadership of its small business voice switching and converged products group. In addition, Ron’s experience spans Enterprise and Carrier / Service Provider portfolios.

Ron holds over a dozen patents in varied areas of telecommunications and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo.
