Stephen Beamish is responsible for developing new business initiatives and implementing corporate level strategies for the company. As part of his role, Stephen is responsible for corporate and business development associated with M&A’s, partnerships and licensing.
Stephen also leads Mitel’s strategic partnerships and has spearheaded efforts that have led to partnerships with VMware®, Oracle®, Microsoft® and Research In Motion (RIM) to deliver best-of-breed communications solutions. As part of his efforts Stephen has fostered the creation and development of Mitel’s virtualization strategy, the first virtual voice solution in the market, which currently accounts for over 15% of Mitel sales.
Since his arrival at Mitel in 2003, Stephen has held a number of positions including VP of Strategic Partnerships, VP Solutions Marketing, VP Corporate Marketing and VP Global Marketing. Throughout these roles Stephen has expanded Mitel’s brand presence and position as a leader in Unified Communications and Collaboration.
Before joining Mitel, Stephen was Director of Marketing at Tropic Networks®, a supplier of metro-area optical networking equipment. Prior to Tropic Networks, Stephen was Director of Global Product Marketing for the Alcatel® Broadband Access Product Line. He has an International MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics and holds a patent in ROI Business Modeling. Stephen is a sought out speaker for many industry events and has published a number of business and technology white papers.
