The Company

LTO Noord is the Netherlands’ largest agriculture and horticulture organisation. This organisation looks after the interests of over 33,500 farmers and horticulturists in the nine provinces north of the major rivers that divide the Netherlands.

The Challenge

LTO Noord is the result of a merger of three regional organisations in 2006, namely GLTO in Deventer, WLTO in Haarlem and NLTO in Drachten. In terms of IT, this constituted a merger of three fully autonomous organisations. That posed several challenges in the area of telephony. The old telephone exchanges had reached the end of their service lives and the search began for a new solution.
