Gijs Borsboom:
Hi there, good afternoon everybody, it's great to be here, great to have you in the room. We have this wonderful example of T-Mobile, a company we partner with, where mobile technology really allowed them to take away the seams between cloud, enterprise and mobility. They've launched a service called Cloud and Clear. Cloud and Clear, it really makes the mobile enterprise taking shape in the Dutch market. I would like to invite Milam Cocheeka on the stage, the marketing director for T-Mobile to explain to us a little bit more about how it works.
 
Milan Ruzicka:
Hello, hi. Good to see you.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
So, Milan. First of all thank you very much for being with us. T-Mobile, a very well known name, but could you tell us a bit more about your business and what sets you apart from your competition?
 
Milan Ruzicka:
Thank you. Thank you for having me. And by the way thank you for the lights.So for your SUC the room is it's really nice. Thank you. Now T-Mobile in the Netherlands, our network teams finished a tremendous amount of work on our network, and right now we pride ourselves to have the fastest network in the country with the most capacity. And that gives us a chance to deliver on a main business need right now. Which is immediate communication, immediate collaboration, anywhere, anytime. And we've decided that this is the right point where we should enter into the business. And because mobile is in part of our need DNA, you really come mobile first. We even have it in our brand. We really believe that with products like Cloud and Clear, which we are going to talk about today, we can help businesses really to mobilize their business process, mobilize their workplace, help them to transition into the 21st century. And on top of that, we are building on assets we have in the company. We think about customer service, which businesses tremendously need, things like that.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
This is really great. And what took you to Mitel?
 
Milan Ruzicka:
It was actually very easy journey, because we worked with Mitel on network side already. And we very much liked what we saw there and we wanted to have more of that, on a commercial side of the house. And, on top of that, Mitel has a really category leading product in the era of UC and cloud services. And they can combine that, you can combine that, with the agility and with the flexibility of a very hungry company. And that fits our DNA very naturally, so it was very easy. I mean, to give you an example, it took us just five months to bring the product to market and we were progressing so well with the implementation that we were feeling ready to push forward even before that. So the first contract started to roll in two weeks after we had launched.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
Okay, so it's not just about technology, it's also about attitude, culture, go-to market.
 
Milan Ruzicka:
Definitely, but technology is a big part of it, because the product which Mitel could bring to us, we wanted to have a feature rich functionality, definitely, but we also wanted to have a functionality which gives our customers a flexibility, how they move to the cloud at their own speed which gives them a chance to be really in charge. And that's exactly where Mitel could deliver very well.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
Okay, and then do you have any examples of customers, where these additional values really was important in your decision making process?
 
Milan Ruzicka:
Yeah, sure. I would like to talk actually how we got to the customer. Because one of the benefits which Mitel has for us is a really robust distribution system. And the network which Mitel established enabled us to go to the market fast, have an instant maturity, have a scale, and also have a quality of implementation. And that's super, super important in a cloud business where customers want to feel that the journey will be safe. And the customer I want to talk about, it's a user social services organization. For them, it didn't work in the past. They had a telecommunication service but the implementation didn't work too well. For them, they take care of kids in the, underprivileged children, kids could be at danger at home. So for them, reachabilty is really mission critical. They need to be 24/7 available there for clients and the product which they were using didn't work well because the implementation wasn't right and the functionality wasn't right. They couldn't assure the reachability of their contacts. So, when we came in with Cloud and Clear, they really saw that, in an environment where their business is under pressure, they need to operate with fewer resources, so the efficiency of the business really needs to be high. They saw that the product of Cloud and Clear can deliver exactly on that. There's a reliability. The SLAs, the implementation is easy. You can even deliver functionalities which are not normally present in the statue commercial products like immediate alert buttons for their employees in the field so they can call for the backup in case them personally or their clients are in immediate danger. So things like that will help customers to kind of work.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
Okay because I think that's very interesting that cloud technology actually allows to to provide additional services even in mission critical environments. So that's really cool. So can you share with us what your expectations are for the future?
 
Milan Ruzicka:
Well, it fits really nicely with the agenda here. I really like the story with the TV. I don't like wasted service calls. And we focus quite a lot on telecommunications in our current deployment but there is a big opportunity with SAS and with vertical applications which exactly enable our customers and their customers to capture much more value from more efficient delivery of the service. So definitely verticalization and we would like to explore with my thermal bot how do we make the seamless integration even more so on smart phone devices. Something like the multi ID identity, so that looks very interesting. And last thing, we see big traction with this product in our business segment. And we believe that there is an opportunity for small businesses as well, to get on the same train and reap the same benefits and productivities. So definitely look into the smaller businesses.
 
Gijs Borsboom:
Okay, well this is a really compelling story, so thank you very much for being with us and sharing that with us today. I think the combined forces of the organization really allowed the best path to the cloud. Even for a very diverse set of customers, so great proof point, thank you very much.
