Well, good evening. I'm really happy to be here to talk to you this evening. I'm gonna tell you a little simple story it's gonna last about five minutes but I spent the last six months of my life building this story. I'm gonna tell you about how we move from a to b in this digital transformation. And Mitel's vision in the enterprise BU of how we do that. How we move from this world of hardware, cables, desk phones to a world where our employees of our own companies and our customers' companies are mobile. They don't don't sit in an office anymore, they seat out there with their customers.
A world where more than 50% of our phone calls in the business environment are maybe via our mobile device not via our desk, where we're desk been desk bound in the past. We're gonna talk about how we make that transition when this technology is accelerating faster and faster, yet, so much of the world hasn't started on that journey yet, but they're looking to us, the people in the room to figure out how to make that journey. Making that journey is about judgment, it's about knowledge, it's about science, but it's also about art. How we shape our companies? And how we shape, how we collaborate on a global basis? That's as much about vision as it is about IT infrastructure and cables and software and applications. Making these seamless transition or making this transition seamless is a personal decision for you. Every company has its own culture, its own budgets, and its own tolerance for what I call technological adventure. Because every time we go through one of these transitions, it's an adventure. And never goes the way we exactly think it's gonna go, even though we have great plans. Our goal is to make it easier to get through that transition.
Our goal is to help our customers go from a transition, go from a premised based world to a mobile enabled cloud technology world. We wanna help you transition at your pace. So, a lot of times you come up to a technology transition and you're looking at the world and someone comes and says, okay, the way to get there is this way, you're gonna go down this path, we're gonna give you these products and you're gonna have to transition, take all your stuff out, put the new stuff in and you're gonna have to do it that way. Our goal is to basically provide you with the menu. It's kind of like going to a restaurant. You go to the restaurant, you wanna eat, you know you wanna eat, you have a menu and you select from that menu. It's the same thing here. A menu of technology and solutions that you get to choose and if you are like my wife, she likes to eat dessert first, so you can eat dessert first.
If you wanna deploy a cloud service first and you wanna bring your PBX later, you can do that. It's your choice in how you mix and match these technologies. So, how do we help you do that? How do we help you manage your move from this traditional legacy voice and UC centric world to this mobile first, cloud enabled world. How are we doing that today? How are we making this journey for you real? Well the first thing is, that all of the platforms that we sell today whether you're and that you bought if you're a previous customer or a future customer all of those platforms are ready today to take you to a hybrid or a fully virtualized cloud hosted world.
So in your environment, in your world today, you can have traditional legacy business. You can have a hybrid environment and you can have a cloud environment. You can run that in your data center, on your site. You can procure that from a public provider. We have a set of API integrations but we're also a key part of our strategy is to build out those API integrations. Those integrations allow you to move from a relatively lightweight integration, for instance, you can take our call center and you can integrate it into your salesforce environment. Or, you can do complete in depth embedded integrations or you can take our technology and you can embed it transparently into a SAAS application. And you can enable your company via a SASS application to be able to have full communication suite inside those applications.
Those services can be delivered through your private data center or over the top through the cloud. We also have several advanced applications. Our MiTeam is a full cloud enabled, cloud first, mobile first, team collaboration tool, that allows you to basically extend the borders of your organization out to your suppliers and your customers and bring them into your company in a collaborative environment. Our MiCollab application allows you to be mobile and look like you're at your desk. And our contact center is obviously designed to help you improve your customer experience. Those tools are all available today. They're virtualized and they're customizable. You just can bring them into your environment and make it work according to your workflow, not according to the workflow that we think you should have. The other area is, Terry mentioned, a new 6900 phones. The new SIP phones and the 6900 phones. Those phones are designed to create a seamless work environment.
They're designed to make it easy for you to transition from your desktop or your office if you have one. Many of us don't even have offices anymore. So, we go in and we hot-desk somewhere but easily transition from that out to a mobile environment without the person on the other end of the call even feeling that transition. But, it gives you the freedom to move and collaborate. So, you have a choice to work with Mitel in an open system environment and adopt that technology at your pace and that open systems environment is really important. We're not driving you down a particular vertical approach. The other thing that's really important here is, we won't leave you stranded. If you have a Mitel platform today, if you have an asset in place today, all of this technology that we bring in, the cloud technology that comes in over the top, the mobile technology that comes in over the top, that technology will work on the infrastructure that you have in place.
And that's a statement that not many companies in the world can make. That's a statement that not many companies in the world can make. So, as we bring you into this world, this integration of mixed estates. Different kinds of call controls, into a microservices, rapid development, IoT, mobile and cloud environment. We have solutions today, this isn't just some slides I'm showing you. We have these solutions today and our fundamental strategy going forward, is to build out those solutions and make them more robust. So, here is an example of those technologies coming together in a short video. Increasingly we communicate with more and more devices. And now, next generation devices are communicating with each other. While connectivity has increased with new innovations, there are many opportunities to simplify connections.
So, what if today's communication systems could read the benefits of this IoT connectivity in ways that weren't possible before? In a world of innovation in cloud, Mitel is introducing a simple, sophisticated and completely reliable way to give you the ability to power new connections. This will refine the way that people communicate with technology, giving a new voice to machines and things. Imagine a water heater leak detected by a sensor in your companies maintenance room, what if that water heater was able to call you with an audio message? Or send a real time video of the leak to your smartphone. Then, prompt you to call the nearest repair man with availability that syncs to your calendar. Or, maybe your data center's overheating. What if the thermostat could communicate the dangerous temperature level to you? As well as notify first responders within instant conference call so both parties can join, the right solution would be seconds away.
Today's communication systems can now be customized to communicate with a voice they've never had before. You can unlock new valuable capabilities by integrating simple APIs into your business communications. All with your team at the center, powering new connections of the future. Add new services to your current systems, give a voice to your IoT and power more connections with Mitel. Mitel, powering connections. I love that video for two reasons. One, because it's a demonstration of giving a voice to a machine, it's the future. And two, because for those of you in the room, you can go upstairs in about 30 minutes and you can actually see this working. This isn't just a theoretical or a marketing pitch. You can go upstairs. And see IoT connected to our call control with APIs and see it all work together in a seamless integration and that's our future.
