Telephony is critical for the majority of organizations whether public or private, particularly if they are offering any kind of service to their clients based on the telephone as the core means of communication.Traditionally, support of PABXs was, and still is, based on "responding" to a fault call by dispatching an engineer to a customer site with the appropriate replacement parts. This reactive approach does not meet the needs of critical systems, as there is no predictability as to when the service will become available again. Mitel understands the demand that support services must avoid, resolve, or mitigate these causes. The following service offerings from Mitel can help to ensure continuity of service for you and your customers.

Services Available:

Response Service
Response service is available from Mitel where engineering support is provided either remotely or, if required, locally within a contracted timeframe. As with all contracts taking this traditional approach, the resolution of the problem is on a "best endeavours" basis. Mitel’s Response service includes a timed escalation procedure in the event of a problem taking time to resolve. This service is suitable for organizations where loss of voice services does not negatively impact the organization.

Restoration Service (UK and Europe only at this time)
Mitel’s Restoration service has been designed for systems that may not be business critical but loss of service would cause a significant level of disruption to the organization and therefore a predictable and contracted restoration of service within the agreed timescale is desirable. The target restoration time is reflected in the design of the solution and associated services.

Availability Service (UK and Europe only at this time)
Customers with businesses that are critically dependent on telephony require knowledge that their solution will be available for a given target duration. Mitel can combine elements of resilient solution design with restoration services to provide customers with an availability measure for their core systems.

Hosted Business Continuity (UK only)
The Mitel Hosted Business Continuity Service enables you to make use of our latest technology in a simple and cost effective manner. Here, without all the logistical issues around sending telephones and PBXs around the country, potentially delaying restoration of service, Mitel centrally houses the entire required back-end infrastructure in our state of the art Cloud Network Operations Centre.

Co-location Services (UK only)
Whether you are starting with only a few Units (U) of co-location or you require a dedicated room, scale and management are of key concern. If your hosting requirements double in a year or your UPS systems need to be refreshed, the Mitel Co-location Service gives you the peace of mind you need. So, if your power, cooling, and room space requirements increase, the Mitel Co-location service provides a reliable outsource solution that can cater for the management and maintenance environments that your infrastructure needs.
