Lasseters Hotel Casino Hits the Jackpot with ShoreTel Unified Communications


    Lasseters Hotel Casino is located in the Australian outback town of Alice Springs in the Red Centre in the Northern Territory. On the banks of the dry Todd River and framed by the famous MacDonnell Ranges, Lasseters is a 140-room hotel, an international-standard casino and an adjoining convention centre that caters for events of up to 600 people.

    In early 2011, Lasseters was facing two challenges as part of a planned expansion that included an additional 65 accommodation rooms, a commercial gym, a fully-equipped day spa branded the ‘Golden Door Day Spa Alice Springs’, additional gaming machines and table games, and a VIP gaming room. Lasseters’ existing PABX had become expensive to maintain and would not scale to meet the additional telephony needs of the expanded hotel complex.
