M5 Networks and Data-Rite Systems Announce M5Connect Official Product Release Today

NEW YORK, NY (June 23, 2009) M5 Networks, Inc. and Data-Rite Systems Group today announced the official product release of M5Connect, a web services telephony API utility that allows both PC- and web-based applications to interact with the M5 phone system. M5Connect allows users to click-to-dial and enables automatic screen-pops with call data and contact information for incoming calls. Data-Rite Systems Group is a Software development company that builds custom applications for companies in the financial, legal and health care industries. They design applications for research management, margin and future systems. M5 and Data-Rite have partnered to integrate and deliver the M5 Connect service with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.

M5Connect creates real business impact for clients by helping them sell more as well as save time and energy to improve customer care and support. Screen pops present an employee with the callers’ contact information before the call is answered, allowing the user to immediately respond to the callers’ request. Average call times are greatly reduced when screen pops are used effectively. Click-to-dial allows employees to initiate calls by selecting a contacts record, saving dialing time and providing the opportunity to make more calls. In sales, the more calls made, the more sales made.
While on a call (inbound or outbound) the employee can take notes about the call in addition to entering wrap up codes for reporting analysis.

All call records and notes are stored within the application and sharable across an entire organization. The data can be used to create a relationship mapping system and is ideal for collaboration.

“What’s great about this technology is that the sky is the limit,” says Mike Feldman, President of Data-Rite Systems. "As the call comes in, you are able to bring up any data you want on a caller from your own system. This can mean investment information, health care records, legal records – anything you have in your databases can appear instantly."

M5Connect integrates with virtually any CRM software and the M5 hosted VoIP business phone solution. “M5Connect improves efficiency, enhances the quality of CRM reporting and allows our customers to easily measure phone based activities,” says Brent Barbara, Director of Integrations at M5 Networks. “What you measure will improve.”
M5Connect doesn’t rely on Microsoft’s TAPI (Telephony Application Programming Interface), a Microsoft Windows API that provides computer telephony integration and enables PCs running Microsoft Windows to use telephone services. M5Connect is delivered via web services and is in line with service oriented architecture, the future of technology integrations and software as a service.
