Today, ShoreTel is holding a lunch with IT media and analysts in Sydney. Along with Mark Arman, ShoreTel’s Vice President of International Sales and Worldwide Distribution, and APAC executives George Atrash, we will be giving an update on ShoreTel’s current market positioning, both in the US and also Australia; growth plans for APAC; and the company’s recent acquisition of M5 Networks and partnership with Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications provider.

The acquisition of M5 networks was an important one for ShoreTel, providing customers with a cloud-based alternative to traditional on-premise UC solutions. This positions ShoreTel as a provider of a range of options for customers with regards to UC purchasing – which also complements our partnership agreement with Telstra. ShoreTel’s complete solution set is now part of the Telstra Business Systems (TBS) program, providing Telstra customers additionally with a range of financing options when purchasing ShoreTel solutions via the TBS program.

In addition to cloud, we also expect to hear a lot of discussion about “bring your own device” (BYOD) and enterprise mobility at the lunch, and what we see as the future of UC for organisations both large and small.
