The Shoretel Team Continues To Grow By Leaps And Bounds

    While many companies have been busy reducing staff to reduce costs in a down economy, we’ve been very busy hiring top talent.

    Our business strategy is to invest in our No. 1 asset – our people. In order to build a brilliantly simple product and remain competitive, the executive staff and the board agreed that we needed to build our strongest resource to forge ahead in the UC market. And we’ve done just that!

    ShoreTel has grown our talent base by over 39 percent while experiencing consistent growth in revenue, operating profit and customer base. In fact, ShoreTel grew its market share in the U.S. and worldwide enterprise IP market by 30 percent over the past two years moving into the top 3 U.S. Enterprise IP suppliers and we have been profitable on a non-GAAP basis for three out of four of the last fiscal years.

    The main areas of growth have been in our Engineering and Sales departments, as well as our Austin facility. Engineering currently represents about 33 percent of the total population at ShoreTel; Sales represents about 36 percent.

    Our Austin office opened in 2008 with about 25 people. Today, we’ve grown an impressive 150 percent! We even recently expanded our facility to make room for more great employees who will join us over the next year as we maintain a thriving workforce plan in the U.S. and around the globe.

    Another addition to ShoreTel has been the acquisition of Agito Networks, from which we gained top talent and robust best-in-class UC Mobility technology. We have an exciting work environment where people are can make a difference in shaping all aspects of our dynamic company growth.
