Why Virtualize Voice

Every once in a while, I get asked why an organization should virtualize voice. On the surface it makes no sense to virtualize voice. It adds optional/additional technology to an already complex and mission-critical solution. It may not result with any cost savings, and it requires a higher degree of technical know-how. So, it’s a reasonable question.
