As Mitel continues its annual Next Partner events around the globe, we’re peeking back at the Americas event and celebrating the impact of bringing our partners and customers together in a shared view of the future as we claim our place as #1 in UC.
Mitel hosted its largest Next Partner Conference in the Americas in early May, marking a significant milestone as it unified the heritage organizations of Mitel and Unify into a single global UC powerhouse. Held in the vibrant city of San Antonio during the final days of Fiesta, this event celebrated the acquisition of Unify. It offered a comprehensive view of the market through the perspectives of partners, industry leaders, and a diverse array of customers. The conference featured 36 breakout sessions, including contributions from the Mitel User Group, allowing attendees to engage in over 18 hours of focused discussions on topics ranging from solution deep dives to vertical spotlights. Additionally, the event saw participation from 37 Solution Center exhibitors, a notable 76% increase compared to 2023.
Mitel Next showcased in-depth presentations and panel discussions with key partners and customers, providing valuable insights into current market trends such as hybrid cloud and verticalization. These sessions highlighted the importance of collaboration and adaptability in navigating the ever-evolving market landscape. Partners shared success stories and case studies, demonstrating Mitel's leadership in innovation and customer satisfaction, while customers spoke about driving business value from their communications tech stack and critical integrations.
A central theme of the event was Mitel's commitment to dominating the hybrid communication landscape. Martin Bitzinger, SVP Product Management, outlined the company's solution strategy, emphasizing Mitel's unique ability to meet this growing market's needs. Comprehensive vertical integrations and investments in end-to-end services underscored Mitel's capability to support numerous high-value scenarios for its partners. Chief Marketing Officer Eric Hanson delivered this year’s executive keynote, emphasizing why Mitel is the go-to hybrid, integrated, and multimodal solutions provider. Our experience, flexibility, and innovation help deliver customer outcomes, and together with our partners, we will disrupt the market conversation, target acquisition & expansion segments, and fuel intelligent growth.
Partner feedback was overwhelmingly positive:
A major highlight was the introduction of new executive team members. Jonathan Buckle, Head of Americas Sales, and Eric Hanson, CMO, were welcomed for their renowned leadership styles and successes. Tenured leaders like David Petts, now Chief Sales Officer, were recognized for their new roles. These introductions highlighted Mitel's commitment to leadership excellence and dedication to guiding the newly formed organization toward a prosperous future.
Choosing San Antonio, especially during the festive period of Fiesta, added a unique and lively dimension to the event. Known for its rich culture and vibrant atmosphere, the city provided an ideal setting for networking and celebration. Attendees enjoyed colorful parades, local cuisine, and the warm hospitality for which San Antonio is famous.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our generous sponsors who supported this landmark event. Their contributions were instrumental in bringing together industry leaders, partners, and attendees from around the globe. We appreciate their commitment to our vision and unwavering support in making Mitel Next 2024 a resounding success.
