Minnie's Food Pantry, founded by Dr. Cheryl "Action" Jackson in Dallas, Texas in 2008, is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide healthy meals and resources to those in need, by way of red-carpet treatment. Over the years, Minnie's has grown from its original 500-square-foot facility to occupying almost 17,000 square feet and distributing almost 8.5 million meals to families experiencing food insecurity. As Minnie's profile has grown, a communications gap also grew between employees, donors and the families that Minnie's Food Pantry serves.
“In the future, we're
becoming a resource center and we're going to be successful because we have the
communication element in process and in place to help us to do that. It's going
to be amazing.”
- Dr. Cheryl Jackson, Founder of Minnie's Food Pantry
