Yesterday, I had the honour of representing Mitel at the opening of the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, along with representatives from other official stadium partners and suppliers. Hearing first-hand from Donna Maria-Cullen, Tottenham Hotspur Executive Director, and Christopher Lee, the stadium’s architect, you realise how much thought has gone into this build—from the acoustics to the lighting to the underlying technology. The stadium can even transform to fit the needs of an NFL game.
To say the stadium is impressive is an understatement. When we first started working with Tottenham Hotspur, everyone at Mitel knew they had a clear vision for building a community and all-encompassing fan experience. They have certainly delivered on that. I can only imagine the atmosphere for fans in their 17,500-seat south stand, which is a single tier and steeply banked to keep them as close to the touchline as possible.
Mitel is incredibly proud to be a part of the launch of such a technologically advanced stadium. Our mantra as an organisation is to deliver the highest-performing communications solutions to high-performance organisations. Mitel’s technology has been seamlessly integrated to help boost employee productivity and enhance the overall Tottenham Hotspur fan experience. As the Official Unified Communications Supplier to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, Mitel is providing reliable unified communications at the stadium and across the entire organisation. This helps employees communicate, collaborate and connect with each other regardless of their location. Additionally, our contact centre platform will provide critical customer service functions for fans, ensuring the best customer experience.
There is no doubt the stadium’s innovative design will make it one of the best sporting venues in the world and herald in an exciting new time for Spurs fans everywhere. Mitel is excited and honoured to play our part in creating such an incredible experience.
