The COVID-19 pandemic is causing companies around the globe to make prudent financial and business communications decisions, and it's in this arena that Mitel is one again recognized as a standout. In their 2020 Premises and Hosted PBX Customer Satisfaction Report for Mid-Market and Enterprise, Eastern Management Group named Mitel the overall winner in the Best Value category. The Best Value distinction encompasses on-site/premises, hybrid and cloud (public or private) unified communications solutions.

As part of the report, Eastern Management Group surveyed over 4,000 IT managers worldwide from mid-market companies with 300-500 employees and enterprises with 500 employees or more.

"Across both mid-market and enterprise customers, value equates with return-on-investment, plain and simple," said John Malone, President and CEO of Eastern Management Group.

Malone points to four criteria that mid-market and enterprise customers expect in deriving the most value from a hosted PBX or premises solution:

  • Global coverage and support
  • Government-grade security and strong Network Operations Centers
  • Customizable applications integrations
  • Expansive UC portfolio (e.g., contact center, video, etc.)

"Achieving the Best Value designation also means Mitel is viewed as forward looking, in terms of developing a future-proof product and having a clear roadmap that aligns the product with where the market is heading," he explains.

Mitel was one of 33 vendors included in the survey, and one of only six identified by Eastern Management as offering decades of experience combined with enterprise-grade products and services. Added to the growing list of requirements Malone also notes there's a "ratcheting up of expectations and demand for global redundancy, fail-over and fail-safe solutions from vendors" and that nothing short of those is acceptable to mid-market and enterprise customers.
