Hub Telecom and Mitel Launch Cloud-Based Unified Communications at Paris Airports

Mitel (Nasdaq:MITL), a leading provider of Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software solutions, and Hub Telecom, a subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris specializing in telecommunications services, today announced the launch of an innovative, cloud-based service based on the Mitel Communications Director solution and VMware® virtualization solutions. Hub Telecom's cloud-based offering, being delivered at Paris' Charles-de-Gaulle and Orly airports, gives its customers an in-office collaboration experience anywhere they have an Internet connection, dramatically increasing their productivity regardless of where they may be working or what mobile device they may be using.

"Our new offering with Hub Telecom clearly illustrates how UCC is moving from a hardware-based infrastructure model to being managed as just another virtual machine, enabling IT to consolidate its resources while simultaneously delivering advanced services to its customers," said Lionel Hovsepian, Mitel's vice president of Sales for South EMEA. Hosting the solution in its data center at Roissy - Charles de Gaulle, Hub Telecom manages all aspects of the UCC offering and its associated infrastructure and customer support. The UCC offering provides a wide range of features for users, including integrated access to their collaboration tools, including voice, video, presence, secure instant messaging, audio and web conferencing, document sharing, voice messaging and email. Users also have access to "one number dialing" which provides a single number where they can be reached regardless if they're at their desk or on the road.
