While the decision to migrate to new IP telephony, VoIP or UC&C solutions is “past due” for many organizations, according to the latest report by analyst firm IDC, there are a wealth of options to sift through. CapEx or OpEx? On-site or cloud? If cloud, then public, private or hybrid? What capabilities and integrations are available? What’s the ROI?

In the report, “IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Unified Communications and Collaboration 2019 Vendor Assessment (Doc #US45331319, July 2019),” IDC offers guidance by evaluating nine vendors’ current capabilities and determining how well their strategy aligns with customer requirements. The report recognized Mitel as a leader for it’s expanding distribution coverage in all regions, comprehensive plans to evolve its application portfolio and ability to “provide a path to and through the cloud, and enable digital transformation.”

According to the report, interest in UC&C is on the rise in the marketplace. Driven by increasing deployment choices and evolving technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), data shows the global UC&C market is expected to increase by over $48 billion in the next four years.

Delivering on this trend, Mitel offers a broad range of UC&C solutions and choice in deployment – from on-site to private, hybrid and public cloud – and is the only vendor to do so. In addition, businesses can leverage advanced analytics, security and compliance in the cloud thanks to Mitel’s recently expanded partnership with Google Cloud.

To upgrade cost-effectively, businesses can seamlessly connect existing communications assets to the cloud with Mitel’s CloudLink platform. Open API architecture and rapid application development enable them to tailor the platform to their unique needs. “This enables communications and collaboration capabilities to be embedded into a host of new applications and workflows that customers will use to digitally transform their businesses, without a technology rip and replace,” states the IDC MarketScape report.

Localized and customized service and coverage for Mitel customers is also provided by a global network of more than 4,000 service providers and channel partners.
