Mitel Announces U.S. Distribution Agreement With Tech Data to Further Growth in SMB Market

Mitel® (Nasdaq:MITL) (TSX:MNW), a leading provider of cloud and premises-based unified communications and collaboration solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD), one of the world's largest wholesale distributors of technology products, further strengthening Mitel's expanding position in the U.S. SMB market. With the agreement, Mitel has taken another positive step in the implementation of the company's 3+1 strategy designed to generate long-term growth through the evolution of its channel structure, aiming to ensure its diverse product offerings are brought to market through the broadest and most effective channel delivery and distribution vehicles.

Tech Data was selected by Mitel for their significant market reach and presence, as well as their ability to support and grow Mitel and Mitel channel partner business. The agreement aims to optimize service for a select number of existing Mitel channel partners focused on the SMB market in the U.S. and extend the reach of select Mitel SMB solutions to a broader range of customers.

As part of the agreement, Tech Data will distribute the Mitel UC360 Collaboration Point, a disruptive new multimedia product introduced earlier this year, in addition to the Mitel 5000 Communications Platform, a market leading SMB solution that provides off-the-shelf support for organizations up to 250 users with a complete suite of business applications.
