Mitel occupies top position in the Dutch IP market segment of up to 250 connections and ranks third in the total Dutch IP market. Mitel's market position, continuous growth and flexible and personal approach were instrumental in KPN's selection. Mitel also offers a solid migration platform for customers wanting to switch from traditional telephony systems to an IP environment.

In September 2008, KPN included Mitel's UC solutions in its product portfolio for the business market segment of companies with up to 100 workspaces. This collaboration produced several successes, including projects at Dutch supermarket chain Super de Boer and the KNVB (Royal Netherlands Football Association). The joint success motivated the companies to expand their collaboration further. KPN has met all Mitel's certification criteria and has been Mitel premierPARTNER for some time.
