The MOS Group provides a wide range of financial services, including mortgage delinquency resolution. When the MOS Group first started, there were eight employees and now there are nearly 200 employees. The scalability of the Mitel Unified Communications Solutions made it very enticing to the MOS Group — with their biggest growth still ahead, they are assured the Mitel solution can handle it.

Working with Chesapeake Communications, The MOS Group selected the Mitel Communications Suite (MCS) running on a Sun Fire server from Sun Microsystems. This solution combines the Mitel Communications Director with feature-rich Mitel applications such as Mitel NuPoint Unified Messaging, the Mitel Unified IP Client, and the option to enable Mitel Live Business Gateway for integration with Microsoft® Office Communications Server 2007.

The addition of MCS allows The MOS Group to centralize its control center to easily manage applications and call load across multiple locations, while monitoring resources usage to optimize use of technology and lower IT costs. Plus with a fully resilient architecture to ensure business continuity, MCS reduces the number of servers required, simplifies deployment, and increases data center convergence to handle current and future user growth. 

"The MCS will allow us to easily scale our operations from a telephony perspective, where a small-to-medium class system wouldn't. This system gives us a huge piece of flexibility that will allow us to change the footprint of our operation in a very short period of time, and that’s invaluable to us," says Chris Wittrig, chief operating officer, The MOS Group.

Furthermore, The MOS Group deployed the Mitel Unified IP Client for Sun Ray™, the world's first voice and virtual desktop solution resulting from a global OEM agreement between Mitel and Sun Microsystems. This solution not only offers improved mobility for both desktop and telephony, including automatic cell phone hand off and single sign-on option, but it also provides increased security and flexibility for the MOS Group employees. The Mitel Unified IP Client for Sun Ray allows The MOS Group to lower operating costs by replacing traditional PCs with thin clients that last considerably longer and consume only a portion of the power required for traditional PCs.
