About Login IDs

MiCollab Client credentials are communicated to the user via a Welcome E-mail Message that you can generate for each user after you provision the system.

MiCollab Client credentials include:

The value entered for the Login ID field on the Account Details page provides the simple Login ID for the user. If you are managing a single Enterprise deployment, users are provided with a simple Login ID (for example, john_smith) via the Welcome E-mail Message.

The Login ID

If you are managing multiple Enterprises, users are provided with fully qualified Login IDs via the Welcome E-mail Message. A fully qualified Login ID includes:

For example, if you enter john_smith for the Login ID and xyx.com for the Enterprise domain field, the user's fully qualified Login ID is john_smith@xyz.com.

If you are currently managing a single Enterprise deployment and later add new Enterprises, you should resend the Welcome E-mail Message to any users with the same Login ID. For example, if Login ID john_smith exists on Enterprise A, and Login ID john_smith also exists on Enterprise B, resend the Welcome E-mail Message to these users to avoid a Login ID conflict.
