MiCollab Client credentials are communicated to the user via a Welcome E-mail Message that you can generate for each user after you provision the system.
MiCollab Client credentials include:
Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for the MiCollab Client Service (required for the Desktop Client installation)
MiCollab Client Login ID (simple, or fully qualified Login ID – used to log in to the MiCollab Client user interfaces)
MiCollab Client Password (used to log in to the MiCollab Client user interfaces)
The value entered for the Login ID field on the Account Details page provides the simple Login ID for the user. If you are managing a single Enterprise deployment, users are provided with a simple Login ID (for example, john_smith) via the Welcome E-mail Message.
The Login ID
must be unique.
supports ISO8859-1 characters.
can be between 2 and 21 alphanumeric characters in length.
can be numeric, but should not conflict with any other user's DN. The user can use his own DN as a Login ID.
If you are managing multiple Enterprises, users are provided with fully qualified Login IDs via the Welcome E-mail Message. A fully qualified Login ID includes:
The value entered for the Login ID field on the Account Details page.
The value entered for the Enterprise domain field on the Enterprise tab.
For example, if you enter john_smith for the Login ID and xyx.com for the Enterprise domain field, the user's fully qualified Login ID is john_smith@xyz.com.
If you are currently managing a single Enterprise deployment and later add new Enterprises, you should resend the Welcome E-mail Message to any users with the same Login ID. For example, if Login ID john_smith exists on Enterprise A, and Login ID john_smith also exists on Enterprise B, resend the Welcome E-mail Message to these users to avoid a Login ID conflict.
