By default, all new MiCollab installation will have MiCollab Client chat services in disabled state. All new MiCollab installations from R9.2 onwards will display the following banner at the top of the Server Manager screen. The banner will be displayed once the MiCollab is moved to Integrated mode. Enter the ARID license key (ServiceLink > Status) to migrate the system automatically to Integrated mode.

To enable chat services:
Click the link in the banner. A popup is displayed with the available chat options.
Select the preferred chat service.
CloudLink Chat: CloudLink is Mitel’s next generation Cloud platform, that enables Mitel to build and deliver advanced applications quickly and enhances selected on-premise solutions with feature-rich cloud-based capabilities.
MiCollab Legacy Chat: MiCollab Legacy chat is an on-premise chat functionality, that allows users to connect in real time to any other MiCollab contact or group of contacts.
Click OK.
For CloudLink Chat, you will be redirected to the MiCollab Settings > CloudLink Integration tab. For detailed procedure on how to enable CloudLink Chat, see MiCollab Administrator Online Help > Configuration > MiCollab Settings > CloudLink Integration section.
For MiCollab Legacy Chat, the system will call MiCollab Client Service API and automatically enables the legacy chat functionality.
NOTE: After enabling legacy chat functionality, it is still possible to switch to CloudLink Chat by manually navigating to the MiCollab Settings > CloudLink Integration tab.
NOTE: If the administrator ignores the banner, none of the Chat functionality is enabled for the users.
NOTE: The banner will be displayed until the administrator enables the Chat functionality.
