Recording Teleworker Sets

With Direct Call Recording, the Secure Recording Connector (SRC) service of the MBG server can establish voice stream taps for IP sets located on the LAN and for teleworker sets located on the external network. Both voice and signaling streams pass through the SRC.

You can enable direct call recording on a global basis for all sets, or on a "per set" basis for particular MAC addresses.

Enable Global Call Recording

To enable global call recording:

  1. On the MBG main page, click the Teleworking tab and click Application integration.

  2. In the Call Recording frame, select the Enabled box.

  3. To inject tone into calls, select the Tone Injection Enabledbox. See Tone Injection.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Click the System tab and click Settings.

  6. Under MiNet options, clear Local streaming.

  7. Under SIP options, clear Local streaming.

  8. Click Save.

Configure SRC Port Ranges (Optional)

To configure the Secure Recording Connector (SRC) port ranges on MBG:

  1. On the MBG main page, click the Network tab and click Port ranges.

  2. If required, update the SRC starting port and SRC ending port numbers.

After completing the configuration, double-check all settings. They are critical to the operation of the WebRTC gateway and are included in the Software Development Kit (SDK) that you download for deployment to your web server.

Local Streaming for Teleworker Sets

If both Local Streaming and Call Recording are enabled globally, and a CRE (Call Recording Equipment) is connected to the MBG server, the Call Recording option takes precedence. Local streaming would not take effect even if it is configured.
