Testing server connectivity

After adding your SIP media server, you can test the connection between MiContact Center Business and your gateway.

To test your SIP media server connection
  1. Select YourSite > Media servers.
  2. Select the SIP media server and select the General tab.
  3. Click Test Connection.
  4. Enter a dialable number to use as the inbound endpoint.

    The dialable number must not be in use as a SIP media server endpoint.

  5. Click Initialize.
  6. Dial the inbound endpoint.

    You must dial the SIP trunk and the endpoint dialable number.

  7. If you heard the prompt, click Yes.
  8. If you did not hear the prompt, click No.

    Repeat steps 4-8.

  9. Click Next.
  10. Enter an extension that is already configured on your gateway.
  11. Click Run Test.
  12. If a call rings the extension, click Yes.
  13. If no call rings the extension, click No.

    Repeat steps 10-13.

  14. Click Next.
  15. Click Finish.
