Dashboard

The Dashboard is the initial point of entry to the MiVoice Border Gateway application in the server manager.

Use the Dashboard to do the following:

Review MBG Status and Licensing Information

To review MBG status and licensing information:

  1. Navigate to the MBG main page, Dashboard appears.

  2. The following status and licensing information is available for review:

Field

Description

Values

MBG Status

MBG service

Displays the status of the MBG server.

WebRTC

Displays the status of the WebRTC service.

Clicking this tab opens the WebRTC configuration page.

MiNet

Displays the status of the MiNet support.

Clicking this tab opens the MiNet configuration page.

SIP

Displays the status of the SIP support.

Clicking this tab opens the SIP configuration page.

Call recording

Displays the status of the Call recording service.

Clicking this tab opens the Call Recording configuration page.

Application metrics

Displays the total for the cluster.

These values are refreshed every minute.

Click to view device calls/connections graph.

Clustering status

Note: In this solution, MBG clustering is pre-configured during the initial deployment. Modifying cluster settings might adversely impact performance.

Cluster Status

The status of the local node: whether it belongs to a cluster, and whether it is the master node or a slave node.

Manage cluster

Master:

  • Resync cluster
  • Dissolve cluster

Slave:

  • Resync with master
  • Take ownership
  • Leave cluster

Zone status

Zone name

The name of this cluster zone. By default, the system has one zone, called “Default”, but you can configure other cluster zones and then direct devices to use them. You can also rename the “Default” zone.

After configuring a cluster zone, you should select a backup zone to act as a fallback in the event that the MBGs in the cluster zone become unavailable.

Backup

The name of the backup zone for this zone (if any).

Node status

Status

The sync status of this node.

Node

The domain name/system name of nodes in the cluster.

Address

The IP address this server uses to communicate cluster events with the cluster.

Weight

The weighting factor applied to this node.

Connected devices

The number of phones currently connected to the node.

Zone

The backup zone to act as a fallback in the event that the MBGs in the cluster zone become unavailable.

Last state change

The date and time the node was last changed.

License Information

License Information

List the total number of licenses available plus the number of licenses that are currently in use for the local MBG and for the cluster of MBGs. Figures are provided for the following license types:

  • Teleworker licenses
  • Tap licenses
  • SIP Trunk licenses
  • Transcoding licenses

Virtualization Support

Indicates whether the “MBG Virtual Appliance” license is enabled, allowing the system to be a deployed in a virtual environment using VMware.

IPv6 Support

Indicates whether the “IPv6 License for MBG” is enabled, enabling the system to be configured with IPv6 addresses on its interfaces.

Manage MBG Clustering

Clustering enables multiple MBG servers to communicate with one another via TCP, sharing data in order to provide load balancing, scalability and resiliency.

To manage MBG clustering, see the following topics:
