General
The facility Common Bell (CB) group means that a number of extensions, which are members in the group, are assigned a common call number to a signal device. Calls to the common number are queued and the common signal device will be activated.
Members can pickup calls from the queue by dialing a code on their telephones.
Primary analog extensions, Cordless extensions, IP extensions, remote extensions, ODNs, ADNs, EDNs, and IDNs can be members of a Common bell group.
The signalling device used for common bell groups is any alerting equipment which can be connected to an analog extension position and uses that electrical interface.
