Automatic Registration of Extensions

Generic extensions configured for automatic registration cannot support the HLR redundancy feature (since they lack the required protocols).

Note:

Certain types of generic extensions, can be configured as “auto-registered”. Those types are Remote extensions, certain SIP extensions (conference phones, elevator or reception SIP phones, MS Skype4B/Lync Forking clients for example), certain DECT base stations and DECT-SMS servers, which are also implemented as a kind of auto-registered generic extension, are not able to support HLR Redundancy.
