Execution

When the user activates the Flexible public CLI function (procedure *FC*), the following approved numbers can be used for the Calling Line Identity when calling a public destination.

  • A restricted number, procedure *FC*0#

  • Common public number for the PBX or LIM, procedure *FC*1#

  • A number in the PLMN/PSTN set by command extension_option, procedure *FC*2#

  • An extension group number (PBX/CTI), procedure *FC*3<group number>#

When the user deactivates the optional Flexible public CLI number function (procedure #FC#), the user's own directory number will be displayed as the calling/connected party number.

The functionality works over the CSTA interface if the application has implemented it, and a CSTA event is sent when the Flexible public CLI number is set or changed through a command, procedure, or CSTA request.
