Zoom Phone System Integration (PSI) with MX-ONE

With the release of MX-ONE 8.1, the Zoom Phone System is fully integrated with MX-ONE, which, amongst others, includes:

  • User Provisioning: The MX-ONE Provisioning Manager synchronizes user data with CloudLink via CloudLink Daemon (CLD) Admin REST APIs, based on the deployment type (No CLGW, Legacy CLGW, or CLD).

  • Basic Call Features: Support of basic Telephony functions such as Hold, Call Waiting, and Call Transfer.

  • Call Forward Synchronization: The Zoom client can set, retrieve, and update user Call Forwarding settings with automatic status notifications.

  • Call Log Synchronization: CLD retrieves Call Logs from MX-ONE REST APIs and reformats them for Zoom compatibility.

  • Presence (MX-ONE to Zoom): Uses MX-ONE CSTA Call Control events to determine User Presence, including Call Forwarding and DND status.

Distributed CloudLink Daemon (CLD) Integration with MX-ONE

The MX-ONE solution now supports the deconstructed Gateway Model, enhancing scalability and resilience. In this model, the CLD and CloudLink Gateway are integrated directly within each Service Node (SN) or Provisioning Manager (PM). Each node hosts its own CLD and/or CLGW instance, connecting independently to the CloudLink service in the public cloud. This distributed architecture enables balanced load distribution and seamless scalability for large enterprise environments.
Note: Starting from release 8.1, support for the physical CloudLink Gateway server has been discontinued. For all CloudLink-related features, customers must migrate to a CLD-based deployment.

Updated MX-ONE to CLD Component ID Mapping (CSTA-Based)

For the Zoom integration, MX-ONE synchronizes user information through the CloudLink server, including the user-to-CLD component "ID mapping". This mapping is now generated based on the CSTA Server Location, and the users served by each CSTA server, ensuring that CloudLink routes service requests to the correct CLD instance for reliable delivery of CSTA and REST-based services.

Zoom Phone Bring Your Own Carrier (BYOC)/Bring Your Own PBX (BYOP) Integration for MX-ONE

This feature enables integration between MX-ONE, MBG, and Zoom Phone through BYOC and BYOP configurations, allowing organizations to retain existing carriers and PBX systems within a hybrid cloud environment.

Usage of DTMF tones for services from mobile phones, via SIP-MEX associated trunk

With the release of MX-ONE 8.1, MX-ONE will be able to detect DTMF signals from SIP-Remote Extensions via the associated SIP trunk. Based on that trigger, a CSTA "DigitsGenerated" event can be used by various applications supporting CSTA.

For MIR 8.0, this means, provided it is configured, that a user can press a pre-defined DTMF digit to record a call, e.g., when threats are made.

Additional services for shared lines (SCA)

Additional services have been implemented for shared lines using 69xx high-end terminals (6930/6940), which means that:

  • It is possible to see which SCA group member is currently active on a shared line.

  • It is possible to see SCA DND/Direct Diversion status on the SCA line in idle state.
