Network Bandwidth Guidelines

The following figure shows the background signaling in MX-ONE.



Note that the bandwidths listed in the following tables are the network bandwidth required only for inter-server signaling and database traffic, independently if the MX-ONE servers are in the same LAN or they are remote sites connected via WAN or MAN.

The background signaling (inter-server signaling plus database communication) supports a maximum network delay of 50 ms to ensure optimal operation even in data reloading and data backups situations. Higher delay in the network may result in long response times causing issues in voice traffic and system operation (data reloading, data backups, add servers, add databases, and so on).

The voice traffic (RTP/SRTP Direct and Gateway Media traffic) between sites need to be dimensioned properly, depending of the simultaneous number of calls/codecs required in the specific site.
