Call charges - general
The general settings for the charge counter are to be found here.

Parameter |
Explanation |
Currency |
Enter here the currency to be displayed on the call charge logs. |
Charge value |
Enter here the multiplier factor used in analogue network interfaces to convert the charge pulses sent by the provider to the current pulse value. |
Round up |
Increment of the rounding-off levels. Rounds a charge off to the next level. Example: If set to 0.1 (standard), then the charge is rounded off from 1.23 to 1.3. If set to 0.2, then the charge is rounded off from 1.23 to 1.4. |
Exchange rate |
Enter here the current exchange rate if you wish to administer the call charges in a currency other than the one used by the provider for his call charge information in digital network interfaces. |

Number of cost centre digits (dynamic allocation) |
The call charges for individual calls can also be charged to external cost centres. External cost centres must have a two to nine-digit number. They are entered in a data field of an output format and can be analysed using a call data application. |
Call charge transfer |
This parameter determines whom the charges for an internal call is charged to. Situation: User A is making an outside call. After a while he hands the call over to user B.
Note:
For an operator console, all charges are always charged to User B regardless of the parameter settings. |
Charge recall standard (s) |
By activating a charge recall, user A can transfer an exchange line to an internal user B who does not have an exchange authorisation. At the end of the external call, User B has the possibility to make one or more external calls. For this he must occupy the line again before the call recall to User A takes place. Here you can set the time [0s...120s] before this call recall takes place. The call recall takes place immediately at the value 0s. The time for standard users and cabin users can be set separately (Parameter Connection in user settings). |

Service active |
Call logging consists of incoming call logging (ICL), outgoing call logging (OCL) and individual charge counting (ICC). The service can be |
Outgoing call logging (OCL) |
{rb_charges} Choose here whether only outgoing calls, only incoming calls, or both call types should be logged. OCL = Outgoing Call Logging ICL = Incoming Call Logging |
Incoming call logging (ICL) |
Outgoing + incoming call logging (OCL + ICL) |
IP address/host name |
Enter here the IP address or Host name of the output device. This can be a printer or a PC. |
TCP port |
TCP port (default value: 1080) |
Page length |
Printout page length (default value = 72). With the Protocol format, the page header can be suppressed with Page length = 99. |
OCL format |
Outgoing call logging (OCL) or Incoming call logging (ICL) output format of the PC1 to PC5: Used for output on a PC. The PC5 format is the most comprehensive PC format and is recommended for all systems upgraded with a new PC application for the acquisition and evaluation of call data. Protocol: This format is used for output on a printer. It does not contain all the data of the PC formats. Bill: This format is used to print out individual call charges as an invoice. Note:
Bill format exists only for outgoing call logging (OCL). OIP: The OIP format is used for sending call data from the communication server to the OIP server. The format is based on the PC5 format but contains additional information. |
ICL format |
Title line of OCL call log (bill format) |
You can define here the title line for the output bill format. |
Print language (format bill and protocol) |
Define here the print language for the Bill and Protocol formats. The header line is then logged in the right language. |
OCL by connection only |
Minimum call charge for cost centre (OCL) |
Outgoing calls by means of cost centre selection will be output as of the charge value defined here. |
Minimum call charge for private calls (OCL) |
Outgoing calls by means of private exchange access will be output as of the charge value defined here. |
Minimum call charge for business calls OCL |
Outgoing calls by means of business exchange access will be output as of the charge value defined here. |
Minimum call charge for room calls (OCL) |
Outgoing calls by means of business exchange access will be output as of the charge value defined here. |
Note:
In an AIN the charge values as of which a printout is made can be adapted specifically for each node with the regional settings. Please note that the values throughout the AIN are indicated in the same currency, defined throughout the system. |
Digit barrier if buffer is full |
If for whatever reason the printer cannot print or the PC cannot receive data, the next calls are stored internally in the communication server. After that, the selected digit barring (e.g. emergency digit barring) becomes active. Then only the numbers enabled by the digit barring can be dialled. |
ICL number for unassigned calls |
If an incoming call cannot be assigned, it is assigned this ICL number. |

Generate OpenCount charge tickets |
Charge ticket buffer overflow action |
Block nothing: The selected digit barring is not enabled. Incoming call tickets are rejected. Block if OCL buffer overflows: The selected digit barring is enabled if buffer overflows take place due to a blocked output device on the IP output destination. Block if OpenCount buffer overflows: The selected digit barring is enabled if the parameter Generate OpenCount charge tickets Block if any buffer overflows: The selected digit barring is always enabled in case of buffer overflow, regardless of the reason for that. |
Surcharge calculator
A surcharge can be applied to call charges using a surcharge calculator. The surcharge comprises a basic fee and fee-based surcharges.
Here you can configure up to 4 surcharge calculators, which you can then assign to the users or guest rooms via their names.
Parameter |
Explanation |
Name |
Surcharge calculator name |
Basic fee |
A fee not dependent on the charge value. Calculated for each paid call. |
Fee multiplier 1 |
Charge values between 0 and Fee start 2 are subject to this factor. |
Fee start 2 |
Start of the 2nd fee range |
Fee multiplier 2 |
Charge values between Fee start 2 and Fee start 3 are subject to this factor. |
Fee start 3 |
Start of the 3rd fee range |
Fee multiplier 3 |
Charge values between Fee start 3 and Fee start 4 are subject to this factor. |
Fee start 4 |
Start of the 4th fee range |
Fee multiplier 4 |
Charge values as from the value under Fee start 4 are subject to this factor. |
The cost curve of a surcharge calculator is defined by the basic fee and 4 cost ranges. For each of the 4 ranges the user can specify a factor with which the call charges in a cost range are multiplied.
Configuration notes:
-
To calculate deeper charges for a cost range, choose for the corresponding fee multiplier a value less than 1.
-
To stop the user from making paid calls, choose for the 1st fee multiplier the value 0 and leave the other values unchanged.
-
To limit the call charges to a higher value, set this value under Fee start 2 and choose the value 0 for the 2nd. fee multiplier.
-
To charge fee for a paid call only after a specific amount, choose for the 1st fee multiplier the value 0; fix under Fee start 2 the minimum amount for payable charges and define the surcharge with the 2nd fee multiplier.
Fee multiplier value |
Charges |
0 |
No charges are calculated in the cost range of this fee multiplier. |
<1 |
Deeper charges are calculated in the cost range of this fee multiplier. |
>1 |
Higher charges are calculated in the cost range of this fee multiplier. |
The last 4 digits of the listed private call numbers are replaced by crosses.
Already incurred charges are charged to User A, and the next charges to User B.
