Table 3. Applications

Parameter

Explanation

Self Service Portal

With valid authentication, the user has access to their phone settings and phones through the Self Service Portal.

Use Self Service Portal also from remote location

Allows teleworkers (external users with IP or SIP phones connected via Mitel Border Gateway) to access their Self Service Portal.

Configuration of personal call routing profiles via Self Service Portal

The user can configure his personal call routing profile in the Self Service Portal.

Enable hospitality functions if supported by the phone

Shows the reception menu on MiVoice 5380 / 538 IP, Mitel 6873 SIP, Mitel 6940 SIP or the hotel menu on Mitel 6869 SIP, Mitel 6920 SIP, Mitel 6930 SIP and enables other hospitality functions on all these SIP phones.

Table 4. Outgoing calls

Parameter

Explanation

Exchange Access authorization

Allows the user to make outgoing phone calls to the public network.

Automatic exchange line request

Activate the dial-out feature for the selected user.

Announcement

Authorizes the user to initiate an announcement to an individual user or an announcement group.

Call waiting

Authorizes the user to notify a busy user of another connection request by using the call waiting feature. If the busy user protected himself against call waiting, the user using call waiting obtains the busy tone.

Intrusion

Authorizes the user to intrude into the call of a busy user. If the busy user protected himself against intrusion, the intruding user obtains the busy tone.

Silent intrusion

Authorizes the user to intrude into the call of a busy user without an attention tone signalling. If the busy user protected himself against silent intrusion, the intruding user obtains the busy tone.

Note:

The Silent Intrusion licence is required so you can use that function.

Least Cost Routing (LCR)

Authorizes the user to use the LCR function.. The LCR function must be activated for this.

Forced routing when LCR is activated

Authorizes the user himself to determine the routing of his outgoing connections even when the LCR function is activated.

External priority

Authorises the user to create an outgoing external connection at any time. If all trunk channels are occupied, one of the active connections is immediately released and made available to this user (useful for an emergency phone).

Table 5. Incoming Calls

Parameter

Explanation

Busy on busy

This setting is relevant only if a user has been assigned several phones.

If the user is making a call, busy will be signalled to any further caller. If the feature is deactivated, the call is offered to the other phones that are not busy.

Entry in call list when busy

If the user is busy and gets another call, an entry is added to the call list for unanswered calls.

Unanswered calls via user group in calling list

If a call remains unanswered in a user group, an entry is added to the call list for unanswered calls.

Remain in user group if forwarded to an external destination

If the user has forwarded the call to an external destination or to voice mail, he remains logged in to a user group, provided the user group configuration allows it (setting Member remains in user group if forwarded to external destination).

Allow call forwarding to CDE (special use case only)

Any kind of call forwarding (CFU, CFB, CFNR) is allowed to the call number of a call distribution element (CDE).

Note:

This parameter is used for a special use case only. Do not use this as a general feature as it will not work as expected in most cases.

Accept collect calls1

Allow collect calls to this user. This setting is taken into account only if in the bundle settings the parameter Collect call handling has been assigned the parameter value Depending on destination.

Default value:

Note:

If the user has redirected to his mailbox, the collect calls are always rejected.

First call if call forwarding unconditional is active

If call forwarding unconditional is activated, the user receives an attention tone (short ring) and can answer the call within 5 seconds.

Note: This feature is not supported for Mitel SIP phones.

Execute call forwarding on no reply even call destination is busy

Call forwarding on no reply is also carried out if the user is busy.

Override ‘Do not disturb’

If a user has assigned a permission set, he can still reach other users with activated DND (Do not disturb) function as the call forwarding to the alternative destination is not active in this case.

Table 6. Connection

Parameter

Explanation

Prepare call takeover / Fast Take

This setting lets you control two authorizations simultaneously:

Prepare call takeover: Authorizes the user to prepare an ongoing call connection between two other users in such a way that it can be transferred by the user himself or another user. Classic application: radio studio

Fast Take: Authorizes the user to transfer a call to another user or an ongoing call connection from another user. Most frequent application: Transferring an ongoing call connection from one's own desk phone to one's own cordless phone.

Call recording

No: The user cannot record their calls.

Manual: The user can record their calls as required.

Automatic: Calls for this user are recorded automatically.

External connections

Allows the user to be in a call connection with an external user. In prisons this is often not permitted, which is why this feature is also commonly referred to as a prison circuit.

Exchange-to-Exchange Connection

In an exchange-to-exchange connection two seized exchange lines to the public network are connected locally in the communication server.

Not enabled: Exchange-to-exchange connections not allowed

Digital-digital only: Both network interfaces must be digital.

Digital-analogue also: At least one network interface must be digital.

Analogue-analogue also: Both network interfaces can be analogue.

According to exchange settings: System-wide valid exchange settings (see Call routing / Extended / Public exchange / General).

Redirect in public network (PARE)

Exchange-to-exchange CFUs are routed to the public network, which means that no B channels are seized in the communication server. This feature is offered by the network provider as a PARE supplementary service for point-to-point operation and as Call Deflection (CD) in point-to-multipoint operation. Many network operators provide the service as part of their basic offer; with some operators you need to request its activation. The called user in the public network sees the caller's ID as well as information on which internal user redirected the call.

This setting must also be made in the trunk group configuration (=bg).

Prepare data takeover

Authorises the user to prepare an existing data connection in such a way that it can be taken over from a (another) user.

Brokering internal/line key

This parameter can be used to determine the behaviour of a key telephone when an external call is transferred, if a call connection has already been set up.

The internal user must first be manually parked before the call is taken on the line key.

The call can be answered directly on the line key and the internal user is automatically parked on the personal key.

Table 7. System

Parameter

Explanation

Switch control outputs

Authorizes the user to switch the control outputs.

Remote access

Authorizes the user to release the communication server for remote maintenance.

Table 8. Miscellaneous

Tip:

With the Message function a user has the possibility of activating several callbacks simultaneously, depending on his system phone.
