AIN General
Mitel Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) networks several Mitel 400 communication servers into a single full-fledged communication system with a complete range of features. The individual nodes are independent of one another in terms of location and are controlled by a Master node. Networking is via the IP network. For further information refer to the AIN system manual. The AIN focus topic contains more information on how to set up and operate an AIN with WebAdmin. You can find the hyperlinks below in the section See also....
Here you can decide whether the communication server is part of an AIN or is operated as individual systems. Depending on the configured operating mode, you have access to more information and general settings on AIN.

Here you can see or choose the AIN operating mode of the communication server on which you are currently logged. |

Parameter |
Remarks |
|
Single system |
The communication server is not part of an AIN. |
|
AIN master |
The communication server is the master node. The master node is the AIN command centre. You can create the AIN configuration from here. |
|
AIN satellite |
The communication server is a satellite node. The AIN operation of a satellite node is configured via the master. Here you merely configure the local hardware structure, local interfaces and local DSP resources. |

Type |
Communication server type |
|
Region |
AIN node region profile. To select another region profile, click the reference number or name of the AIN node. |
|
Emergency destination |
AIN node's emergency destination (default value = 1). To select another emergency destination, click the reference number or name of the AIN node. You can assign any of the defined emergency destinations to the AIN node. When an emergency number of the internal numbering plan is dialled, one of the three call numbers of the emergency destination is dialled, based on the switch position of the assigned switch group. Note:
If an emergency destination is assigned at the calling terminal, the emergency destinations of the terminal has priority. |
|
Emergency location |
Here you can assign any of the defined emergency location data sets to the AIN node. When an emergency number out of the public emergency number list is dialled, the system reacts with specific actions: The location of the caller is sent to the provider, an emergency response team is informed, alarms are issued and logs are updated. You can find more information in the focus topic "Emergency service support". |

Monitoring range |
Defines the interval at which the signalling connections between the master and satellites is checked. If you modify the interval on the master, the modification is also made on all available satellites. Minimal: 5 s Very short: 10 s Short: 20 s Medium: 40 s Long: 1 min 45 s Very long: 3 min Note:
The interval set for AIN operation and for offline operation must be the same. |
