IP addressing of the communication server

Specify the IP addressing here. You can use static addressing for the communication server or DHCP. We recommend that the communication server be addressed statically.

Addressing the communication server

For static addressing of the communication server (recommended), enter a fixed IP address, subnet mask and the IP address of the default gateway here.

To address the communication server via DHCP, activate DHCP (DHCP client: checkbox-checked00268.png).

Also enter the DNS server IP address. Without the DNS server, none of the configured hostnames can be disconnected. If you do not have any DNS server, make sure, during further configuration work, that you work with IP addresses only (not recommended).
