IP addressing

Here you can see the IP addressing for your communication server.

Table 1. IP addressing

Parameter

Explanation

Host name

Host name of the communication server for the address allocation in the DNS server or via Multicast DNS (default entry: <Model name>-<MAC address>, for example “Mitel430-00085d8031a6”)

IP address

IP address of the communication server (default entry: "192.168.104.13").

Subnet mask

Default entry: “255.255.255.0”

Gateway

Default gateway of the communication server (default entry: “0.0.0.0”).

MAC address

MAC address of the communication serv­er.

Parameter

Explanation

DHCP client

The IP address is retrieved from the DHCP server and used in the communication server.

The IP address is static and has to be entered manually.

Primary DNS server

Address of the primary DNS server (entry is read from the DNS server).

Secondary DNS server

Address of the secondary DNS server (entry is read from the DNS server).

Domain

Domain name (entry is read from the DNS server).

Multicast DNS support

Activates the integrated Multicast DNS Responder. SIP system phones need it to be able to find the communication server by themselves and register with it (default setting: ).
