Updating a User’s Name from Entra ID to CloudLink to MiCollab

This procedure outlines the steps to update a user’s name in Entra ID and ensure it syncs correctly to CloudLink and MiCollab.

  1. Access and update the user’s name in Entra ID (Azure AD):

    • Sign in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center.
    • In the left navigation pane, select Users.
    • Search for and select the user whose name you want to update.
    • On the user profile page, click Edit Properties.
    • Update the First name, Last name, or Display name as needed.
    • Click Save.
  2. Wait for the Azure AD sync to CloudLink:

    • This occurs automatically via SCIM or can be triggered manually.
  3. Verify the updated name in CloudLink:

    • Navigate to Mitel Administration > User Management > Users.
    • Search for the user and confirm the name is updated.
  4. Sync the updated user to MiCollab:

    • Ensure MiCollab integration is enabled.
    • If MiVoice Business is integrated, verify that the username is synced correctly.
    • If needed, manually trigger a sync or update the username in MiCollab.
  5. Validate the name in MiCollab:

    • Log in to MiCollab and confirm the updated name appears in the user profile.
Note: If the username is changed after the initial MiVoice Business configuration, it may not sync automatically to MiCollab. Manual intervention may be required.

Manual Sync Procedure

To sync updated user information from MiVoice Business to MiCollab:

  1. Navigate to User Management > Users in the Mitel Administration console.
  2. Locate the user whose information has been updated.
  3. To sync a single user:
    • Click the Sync button next to the user.
  4. To sync multiple users:
    • Select the checkboxes next to the users.
    • Click Sync Selected.
