Number Management

Note: When you create a new route, a number is either created or selected from the list. If a number is created, it is then added to the Number Management page. If a route is deleted with the number still associated to the route, it will also delete the number from the Number Management page.

In Number Management, there is a provision to add and manage phone numbers for direct inward dialing.

Adding a Phone Number

  1. Click the Numbers option under Voice Assist. The Number Management page opens.
  2. Click the Add Number button to add the phone number. The New number page is displayed.
  3. Enter a descriptive name in the Name text box.
  4. Enter the Local routing number in the text box. The number can include any dialable characters, such as # and *.
  5. Click Save. The new number is added.

Editing the Number Management and Deleting a Phone Number

  1. Click the Numbers option under Voice Assist. The Number Management page opens.
  2. From the list of phone numbers, select the check box beside the number you want to edit.
  3. Click the Manage button. A window opens
  4. Edit the Name that needs to be updated.
  5. Click the Save button to update the name or click the Delete button to delete the phone number.
  6. Type confirm in the Warning message box.
  7. Click OK. The number is deleted.
    Note: Only numbers listed as "Unassigned" can be deleted. Otherwise, they must be removed first from the associated workflow.
