Streams

A Stream is a collaboration space designed to enable collaboration between teams, projects, and topics. In a stream, you can add several members, chat with those members, and share images among them.

Create Stream

Follow the information specific to your type of mobile phone.
  • iPhone
    To create a Stream on an iPhone, perform the following steps:
    1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of the app, tap the icon.
    2. In the Messages screen that opens, tap the icon at the top-right corner.
    3. From the Select new message type panel that appears at the bottom of the mobile screen, tap Stream. The New Stream screen opens.
    4. In the Stream name field, enter a name for the stream.
    5. Tap Create at the top-right corner. A chat screen opens displaying the stream name and a chat message “I created this stream” indicating that the stream is created. The Stream will be displayed in your chat list.
  • Android
    To create a Stream on an Android phone, perform the following steps:
    1. From the header bar at the top of the app, tap the navigation menu icon (), and tap Chat.
    2. In the Messages screen that opens, tap the icon at the top-right corner.
    3. From the Select new message type panel that appears at the bottom of the mobile screen, tap Stream. The New Stream screen opens.
    4. In the Stream name field, enter a name for the stream.
    5. Tap Create at the top-right corner. A chat screen opens displaying the stream name and a chat message “I created this stream” indicating that the stream is created. The Stream will be displayed in your chat list.

Manage Streams

You can invite members to a Stream, view the existing members in a Stream, edit a Stream name, and leave a Stream by performing the following steps. Select the appropriate tab below to view instructions specific to your type of mobile phone.

iPhone

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of the app, tap the icon.
  2. In the Messages screen that opens, tap the Stream to which you want to make changes.
  3. Click the icon at the top-right corner. The Stream Info screen opens.
    • To invite members to a Stream:
      1. Tap Invite to stream. The Search Users list is displayed.
      2. Tap each contact you want to add (a check mark appears beside each selected contact).
      3. Tap OK in the top-right corner. The selected contacts are added as members to the stream.
    • To view the Members in a Stream:
      1. Tap Members. A list of all the members currently in the stream is listed.
    • To edit a Stream name:
      1. Tap Edit. The Edit screen is displayed.
      2. In the Stream name field, enter the new name of the stream.
      3. Tap Update at the top-right corner.
    • To Leave a Stream:
      1. Tap Leave. An Are you sure? alert appears at the bottom of the mobile screen.
      2. Tap Leave to leave the Stream and tap Cancel to cancel the operation.

Android

  1. From the header bar at the top of the app, tap the navigation menu icon (), and tap Chat.
  2. In the Messages screen that opens, tap the Stream to which you want to make changes.
  3. Click the icon at the top-right corner. The Stream Info screen opens.
    • To invite members to a Stream:
      1. Tap Invite to stream. The Search Users list is displayed.
