9.5. Sending an Instant Message from Attendant Buttons Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

Prerequisites

Sending instant messages is not disabled by the administrator of your communication system.
The Attendant Buttons panel is open; see Section 10.1.

Step by Step

  1. On the Attendant Buttons panel click on Chat in the context menu of the relevant Attendant button.
    The Instant Message pop up window appears.
  2. Click New Conversation and search for contact.
  3. If you want to add further communication partners to the chat (to create a group chat), drag them from the Internal Directory, Attendant Buttons or Search to the Instant Message pop up window.
    To display the Search pop up window see Section 8.2.
  4. Enter the text in the Type Message input field.
  5. Press the Enter key.
