What happened to Mitel’s UCaaS business?

Mitel previously offered several Unified Communications as-a-Service (UCaaS) products as part of its portfolio. In 2021, Mitel transitioned its strategy to focus on delivery of our core UC (private cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-premise) solutions.

What happened to MiCloud Connect?

The MiCloud Connect business was acquired by RingCentral in 2024. The solution is now branded MiCloud by RingCentral and being provided by RingCentral directly. Details about the transition for existing MiCloud by RingCentral customers can be found on the RingCentral web site.


What happened to Sky / ShoreTel Sky?


The Sky (aka ShoreTel Sky) business was also acquired by RingCentral in 2024. The solution is now branded Sky by RingCentral and being provided by RingCentral directly. Details about the transition for existing Sky by RingCentralcustomers can be found on the RingCentral web site.


What happened to Unify Office & Unify Video?


Unify Office / Unify Video by RingCentral (UO/UV) are no longer being sold by Mitel to new customers. In order to ensure continuity for existing customers and partners, Mitel is working closely with RingCentral on customer-friendly transition plans.


Can I still purchase a UCaaS / pure cloud solution from Mitel?


Mitel no longer sells its own pure UCaaS (public cloud) solutions. Additionally, Mitel’s previous programs to migrate Mitel customers on legacy UCaaS platforms to RingCentral are no longer active. Mitel does support integrations with various UCaaS vendor platforms.
