Mitel in the News: 5 Stories You Might Have Missed in June

Welcome to our June edition of the round-up. We have officially made it through the first half of the year. Depending on how you want to look at it, that either means it’s time for a holiday… or we are less than six months to the Holidays. We will let you choose your own adventure on this one!

At Mitel, we packed a lot into June’s 30 days. Below, our CMO talks about Mitel’s focus for the second half of the year and beyond. We unveil a new global experience for our partners and get an inside look at what sparked Mitel’s UC Accelerator. Plus, our CTO shares his thoughts on building resiliency into business communications, and we celebrate a win for Mitel CX.

Ok, let’s get to the news!

A quick note that we link to the article in its published language. In most cases, using your favorite translation software will allow you to read the article in your preferred language easily.

Just hours after Mitel announced the successful completion of its financial restructuring, CMO Eric Hanson sat down for an in-depth chat with UC Today. Hanson shares why he is bullish on the UC leader's future and what partners and customers can expect moving forward. He also shares his perspective on the evolving UC marketplace and explains why demand continues to build for hybrid cloud communications across key industries and geographies.

Another topic alluded to during that UC Today interview was Mitel’s new partner experience. The exciting update, which was covered by channel publications including Channel Futures and Channel Insider, brings together the Mitel and Unify partner ecosystems under a single, modern framework. As Comms Business outlines in this article, it includes access to improved tools and expanded marketing and demand generation programs for partners.

For further perspective on the new partner experience, ChannelE2E spoke with Mitel’s Steve Loebrich. Taking a more strategic look at the updates, the conversation covers how the changes will benefit both partners and customers, especially those navigating digital and operational complexity. Mitel’s VP of Channel for the US and Canada also touches on the reasons hybrid communications solutions are being valued over cloud-only approaches.

Earlier in June, Mitel’s CTO, Luiz Domingos, sat down with well-known analyst Shelly Kramer to discuss building secure and scalable UC systems and what organizations need to consider when investing in their communications infrastructure. They also cover what the recently announced JITC certification for Mitel’s OpenScape Voice Solution means to customers, especially those operating in critical communications environments.

Luiz also spoke with the Ottawa Business Journal this month about Mitel’s partnership with L-SPARK on a UC accelerator and why its potential excites him. His comments were part of a broader story exploring how the program came together and why it’s a model that offers advantages to start-ups and established tech players.

Finally, we were thrilled to learn that RemoteTech Breakthrough named Mitel CX “Overall Customer Support Solution of the Year.”  This is a significant win for Mitel’s recently released all-in-one AI-assisted customer experience management platform, which was put up against nominees from over 15 countries worldwide.

That’s all for this month! Don't forget to check the Mitel newsroom for the latest updates.
