Microsoft changes to Default Security Settings for LDAP on Active Directory

Summary

Microsoft has announced that it will be improving the default security configuration of the Light Weight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) for Active Directory domain controllers by requiring channel bindingĀ andĀ LDAP signing. Microsoft has indicated that these configuration changes will not be enforced in the foreseeable future.

Mitel continues to monitor the updates from Microsoft and is actively investigating potential impacts to its products and will provide updates as required.

Mitel recommends customers to review their environment as required and refer to Microsoft Advisory ADV190023 for guidance. This advisory will be updated when Mitel product updates are available.
