The in-store shopping experience is here to stay. And while it’s true that about 75% of shoppers continue to have some in-store interaction, digital shopping is still on the rise. In 2022, US e-commerce sales were more than $1 trillion, a massive increase from previous years.

This June, Mitel reached a milestone anniversary of 50 years, and we celebrated the occasion with our annual #MitelServes Month of Service. Mitel Serves is how we show up for our local communities and each other year-round, but in June, our teams go above and beyond to make our anniversary month our annual volunteerism month, too.

Freelance work isn’t new, but recently it hit the main stage as more workers and businesses embrace the gig economy. A whopping 36% of employed Americans identified as independent workers in 2022 – up from 27% in 2016.

This June marks Mitel’s 50th anniversary, and we’re excited to celebrate a half-century of making landmark innovations and connections in communications technology. While we’re always looking forward to the future, it’s also important to reflect on where we came from – and the people who make it all possible.

These days it takes as much (if not more) effort to keep an existing customer as it does to gain a new one. About half of customers report they would switch to a different brand after just one negative customer service interaction, according to findings from Zendesk.

After being closed due to the pandemic, a children’s camp in Kanata, Canada, got some much needed sprucing up before kids returned for summer fun. In California, a community kitchen distributed food and hygiene products to families in need.
